An Israeli newspaper has made a surprising claim regarding the Israeli military's efforts to locate Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

Citing the Israeli newspaper Maariv, Arab media reported that a person had identified the location of the martyred Hezbollah leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

According to the Israeli newspaper, a person contaminated with a chemical substance had shaken hands with Hassan Nasrallah some time ago.

Maariv claimed that Israel used the chemical substance to help locate Hassan Nasrallah.

It is worth noting that on Friday, Hezbollah's leader, Hassan Nasrallah, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on the Lebanese capital, Beirut.

Yesterday, Nasrallah's body was recovered, with no visible major injuries on his body, according to international news agencies.

The news agency further reported that it appeared Hassan Nasrallah's death was caused by the intensity of the explosion.

Who was Hassan Nasrallah?

Hassan Nasrallah became the Secretary General of Hezbollah at the age of 32 in 1992, following the assassination of his predecessor, Abbas al-Musawi, by an Israeli gunship helicopter.

He studied politics and the Quran for three years in the Iraqi city of Najaf, where he met Lebanese Amal militia leader Abbas al-Musawi. In 1978, Nasrallah was expelled from Iraq.

After Lebanon was engulfed in civil war, Hassan Nasrallah joined the Amal movement and was appointed as its political representative in the Beqaa Valley.

Following Israel's 1982 invasion of Beirut, Nasrallah left Amal and joined Hezbollah.

Under Nasrallah’s leadership, Hezbollah emerged as a key opponent of Israel, with Nasrallah insisting that Israel remains a significant threat.

Since Hamas's attack on Israel on October 7, Hezbollah has been engaged in almost daily clashes with Israeli forces along the Lebanon-Israel border.
